Clinic #1 of the ParaSport Spokane Track & Field Series will Feature 2016 Paralympian and 2017 World Championships Bronze Medalist, Nick Rogers! We are very excited to host Nick and have him share his knowledge and story with clinic participants. Also joining Nick and ParaSport Spokane Coaches is Prosthetist Francois Van Der Watt of Van Der Watt Prosthetics & Orthotics in Greenwood Arkansas. Francois has served as National Team Prosthetist at a number of US Paralympic Track and Field Team events including the 2017 World Para Athletics Championships and the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games. Clinic participants will learn techniques for running & throwing, will gain valuable feedback from clinic staff, and learn much much more about participation in track and field locally, at the WIAA level and within the US Paralympic Track and Field System. The clinic is open to anyone, of any age and ability, no specialized prosthetics are needed. Individuals who are amputees, have a limb difference or limited range of motion within a limb are all invited to attend. Also invited are track and field coaches, educators and those from the medical profession that service individuals with physical disabilities.
