ParaSport Spokane is all about sport for kids and adults with physical disabilities. Aligning with the global Paralympic Sport movement, the core sports that ParaSport Spokane offers are Wheelchair Basketball, Track & Field, and Sled Hockey. Sports that are contested at the Paralympic Games.

What does Paralympic mean?
Paralympic means parallel. As in, the Paralympic sport system is parallel to the Olympic sport system. Athletes who compete within Paralympic sports have physical disabilities.
There are four groups of athletes with physical disabilities commonly found within the Paralympic movement:
