As part of the #GivingTuesday Movement on November 27th. ParaSport Spokane is launching our "Full Court Press to the 2019 NWBA National Championships!" Fundraising Campaign. 

On November 27th, every dollar raised for charities via the Facebook Fundraising portal will be matched by Facebook and PayPal up to the value of $7 Million. 

With a goal of $8,000, this fundraising campaign has dual goals: 
-To build awareness about the mission and values of ParaSport Spokane
-To offset the cost for the Women's and Junior wheelchair basketball teams to compete at the 2019 NWBA National Championships in New Lennox, IL. 

Funds raised will offset travel, accommodation and tournament fees and help to meet the goal of ParaSport Spokane in reducing costs to athletes and their families to as little as possible. 

The fundraising drive will not only take place on Nov 27th, but will continue through the new year until February 22nd. 

There is considerable cost to operate this program, which is run by a 100% volunteer group of staff. Volunteers gave over 5000 hours to this program in 2018 coordinating programs up to six days a week at times. The impact that this program has on its member athletes is profound and lasts a lifetime. Any and all donations are appreciated, even the smallest contribution makes great impact.

Another great tournament for our ParaSport Spokane squad in Portland. 26 athletes and a small squadron of team staff jumped aboard a tour bus and headed from our Valley Christian School training base to the Hoop YMCA Gym in Beaverton, OR. Thanks as always to Adaptive Sports Northwest for a great event.
